| Charlie is the archetypal gentle giant. Almost ten years old, she has been broken to ride, but has not been ridden since we bought her three years ago. Charlie will also drive and do work in the shafts or chains, or on the pole with another horse. The second pic (Charlie is on the left) shows her working on the pole. The third picture shows Charlie in chains, acting as schoolmistress for our stallion. I think the fact that she will work with a stallion is a testament to her lovely temperament. We have bred one foal out of Charlie, who can be seen, and who has inherited her lovely nature ( he also meets all the requirements of breed characteristics of the drum horse!) Charlie is good to box, and with the farrier, and is easy to do both in and out of the stable. She will winter out without the need for rugs. She is also micochipped. We will be very sad to part with this mare, and a good home is absolutely essential. No dealers please. |
