Morgan is a stunning 14.2hh four year old mahogany bay gelding who we have owned since he was 5 months old. He is fully bred in the purple with a fantastic pedigree with his father being the medalled champion stallion Trevallion Jacks Image. Morgan is only for sale as he was brought to be kept as a stallion, but this year he hasn’t coped with being a stallion so we made the hard decision to geld him. I am very glad that we made this decision as he is now so much happier but unfortunately it means that we have to sell him as we are a stud and we don’t keep geldings.
He was backed last year and given the winter off and has been brought on slowly this year, he recently went off for some showjumping training where he excelled. He loves to work and is keen in all aspects of his work. He has been ridden and handled by a twelve year old girl, but equally he carries an adult happily. He is confident hacking out on his own although he hasn’t seem much traffic as we don’t have to do any road work were we live.
He is good to shoe, box in a trailer or lorry and good to catch, he is also good with the hose pipe, we have never clipped him before. He has only been turned out on his own as the mares all have foals at foot and the stallions are turned out on there own and we have no geldings to turn him out with, but he is quite happy next to the mares with just electric tape between them.
He will make a fantastic showjumping pony or with a little more schooling he has the paces for dressage, he really will excel in any sphere. I have priced him at a realistic price as he needs to be sold but in a years time with a few competitions under his belt he will easily be worth double. I have tried to be as honest as possible as finding him a good home is the most important thing as I never thought I would be selling him.
