`Ari` is a fantastic 3 year old mare, with the pedigree and movement to make a top class dressage horse. She has a very willing attitude to life and is very easy to handle. When she moves she does so uphill, with much power from behind, and with much suppleness and cadence. She moves through her whole body and uses her shoulder and front legs very well. This mare comes from a proven performance line. Her sire `Future` is a national dressage stallion in Holland, ridden by Maalies van Baalen. Her dam `Jaronette` competes at ZZ level dressage in Holland, and is a Keur mare. The grand-dam `Baronette` is a Keur Pref Prest mare who competed up to Z Level dressage. This young mare has all the attributes for high level dressage.
Her sire `Future` was champion of the Westfalen stallion selection in 2000 and was described as a stallion with excellent type, good basics and an exceptional character. He attracted attention with his elastic movements and cool presence. This is not surprising seeing as his sire Florestan I bears the title of “star” stallion. Florestan I has established his name as producer of many top sport horses, many of which have already achieved victory at advanced level. In 2004 a son and daughter were awarded Champion titles at the Westfalen foal championships. Future is current doing well in Intermediare I dressage with Maalies van Baalen.
Her dam `Jaronette` is an outstanding bay mare. She was awarded her `Keur` predicate from the KWPN, achieving scores of 9/10 for walk, 8.5/10 for trot and canter. She has also been awarded the `Sport Dressur` predicate for achievements in sport up to ZZ level dressage.
Elcaro, her sire, is very highly regarded in Holland, and was lifetime approved by the KWPN in 2002, with a dressage index of over 150. The grand-sire `Roemer` was awarded `Preferent` by the KWPN and was competed up to Grand Prix dressage, and was owned by Iron Spring Farms in America.
This mare is very easy to handle, good with vets, farriers and is just very very sweet in the stable. She is totally unspoilt and ready for all the young horse classes for 2009. She has all the potential to go into top level dressage, and has the pedigree to match!
